Hello Bridger Community!! Welcome back!
We have missed you so much and can’t wait to connect with you all. It’s obvious that this year is going to continue to be very different in almost every respect; from how our students engage with each other, to how they engage in their learning, to how families engage with the school. The obstacles are many and can be overwhelming, but as we start our school year with so much uncertainty, we ask you to remember this: our community is strong. It is resilient. It is focused on solutions. Our community will thrive by listening to and supporting one another.
It is our hope that the PTA can create an equitable space where our needs can be shared and acknowledged, and that we can work together to shape and support creative solutions. These efforts must center around our students’ learning and wellbeing, as well as our staff and families, but should extend to our community at large including partnering with local businesses and organizations, and the communities that are hurting the most right now as a result of the pandemic and racial injustice. Our goals are to educate ourselves, share resources, and to make sure our community feels heard. We want ALL Bridger families to be empowered as they are essential in the success of our students and our school.
The Bridger PTA is an anti-racist group of parents, teachers, and community members. ALL are welcome to join, whether you have never been to a meeting before, or whatever grade your child is in! Membership is free. Be sure to mark your calendar for all of the PTA Communities gatherings (listed to the left). At these gatherings you can expect to:
We hope you will join us at these gatherings to connect with one another and see the bigger picture! And remember: you do not have to be a PTA member to volunteer at Bridger. Connect with your child’s teacher or room parent to learn about other ways to engage so you can find the right fit! Feel free to reach out to us at email@example.com with any questions or ideas. We look forward to seeing you!
Sincerely, Julia Collins, President (We are seeking a Co-President or VP! Please reach out if you’re interested!)
